OG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ausstellungstext im Humboldt Forum:<\/p>\n<p>Monitore im Technischen Beobachtungszentrum dienten der umfassenden \u00dcberwachung der Innen- und Au\u00dfenbereiche des Geb\u00e4udes. Der Palast der Republik war \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglich, aber auch Sitz des Parlaments. Deshalb stufte das Ministerium f\u00fcr Staatssicherheit ihn als besonderes \u00bbSicherungsobjekt\u00ab ein. Kontrollen sollten Gefahren abwenden und zugleich \u00bbprovokante\u00ab Handlungen verhindern: Angestellte wurden \u00fcberpr\u00fcft, Besucherinnen und Besucher observiert, Telefone abgeh\u00f6rt und zentrale Bereiche mit Kameras beobachtet.
